I love celebrating in a big way, for July 4th! For us, it means swimming, bbq’s, friends & family, and a fabulous fireworks show at our local high school.
Along with celebrating, I love to decorate for this very holiday! I’m going to show you how you can create a simple, inexpensive, fourth of July wreath!
The best part? This project costs only $4.
Here is what you’ll need to make your own wreath:
Pool noodle
Garland
tape
To get started, I stopped by my local 99cent only store, and picked up a pool noodle, and festive garland.
{I used 3 garland packs, for this project}
Step 1:
Form the pool noodle into a circle, and secure the ends with tape.
You’ll need strong tape to connect the ends of the pool noodle. {I used clear packing tape, and it worked great!}
Step 2:
Grab your garland and tape one end of it to the noodle.
Step 3:
Start wrapping your garland around the noodle, making a slight angle as you go around.
As you’re wrapping it around, you’ll want your garland edges to touch, somewhat disguising the noodle underneath.
Continue this process until all 3 garlands are attached.
Your July 4th wreath should look like this. Very festive, don’t you think?
I love that the process is simple, and goes pretty quickly.
For a little added festive flair, I created a mini banner by using fourth of July clip art from Babystar Design.
I fell in love with the firecrackers, and thought would be a perfect ccent my July 4th wreath.
You’ll find a big selection of other themed clip art & digital paper, in their shop.
And here is the finished product!
Wishing you a safe & festive July 4th!
